Coming home

My daughter called me on Monday to inform me that her and her son were no longer able to come home as planned. To say that I was sad, is an understatement. She called me back to ask if I would like to have my grandson until Christmas. Of course I said yes but didn't allow myself to get too excited until it was a fore sure thing. He is coming! And I am completely excited! His other grandma is meeting me half ways with him, TOMORROW(Tuesday)!

A little history for those that don't know...this is my daughter and grandson that lived with us, shortly after he was born until this summer(about 15 months)when they moved to another state to live. He and my two little people are so close...he is their partner in crime and they are elated that he is coming.

These are the most recent picture I have of my little honey, that my daughter sent me recently. He is one of the sweetest little boys and has such a personality.

I can hardly wait to hug this little guy and kiss this little face!

That is sad to not see some of your family, but having your grandson around will be great, and I bet he is looking forward to seeing his granny too! I loved visiting relations over Christmas as a child, and probably getting spoilt. Just realised now it musta been quite hard work for them alL!

Oh, the dissapointment and then the elation...at least you get ONE of them for a while.
I hope they all enjoy...there is nothing like "cousins".

What a great Christmas present, even if things didn't turn out like you had planned. :)

That's great news. We just had to call Grandma (my mother) and tell her we wouldn't be coming before Christmas (it's the inlaw's turn this year) because of the big snow wallop (they're calling it "snowmageddon") this weekend. And with the forecast, we don't know if we're coming at all over this holiday.

Oh my! What fun. I just spent one week with my 3 year old granddaughter in OK. What a wonderful time we had.
How sad I was to leave her...

Have a wonderful time with your little one.

He is so adorable and I'm sure he'll fill your house with even more childhood magic. It's difficult when not everyone can come together for the holidays, but THREE little people...your home is going to be rocking with merriment.
